More About Mach 4…

The roots of our company date back 35 years to when we made the transition from clock making, to scientific instrument design and manufacture. 

These scientific instruments included products and components sugar refining equipment for Tate & Lyle, specialist microscopy applications, precision measurement stages, airport landing light setting devices, in vitro fertilisation stages, and many systems relevant to genetic research.

I would like to extend our services in product design and improvement to a wider audience offering an increasingly rare ‘one stop shop solution’ from initial concept, to final, fully assembled instrument.

As a team we have built a reputation for problem solving and rationalising designs for ease of manufacture.

We are a small but specialist company with a ‘can do attitude’ and strong team ethics. Our collective engineering experience totals more than 150 years. We have introduced internal systems to improve quality and increase production, and we are ready to work with new companies.

We currently have an illustrious customer base with clients we have worked with and supplied regularly for many years. These clients include Scientifica Ltd, recent recipients of the Queens award to industry for export, Energy Technology and Control, Scientific Optical, Pyser SGI , Cashbases and H Roberts.
